The requirements are not that high-end. You'll need a 64 MB videocard, a 512 MB Ram and at least a 1.4 Gh Processor (I found these specs in some site.. Can't recall what the address was, though). See? What did I tell you? It seems the requirements are rather low-end. // Also, about the size: Hmm.. I think it won't be as large as some people assume it would be. I mean, after you evolve, you won't exactly be going back, right? So, logically speaking, the previous species you were in is going to be deleted (in some way). And about the environment getting bigger as you evolve, I think some of you are just thinking that way because... erm... it's hard to explain. Think the hair on your head and a stack of hay. There's just as much stuff happening in the hair of your head and in a stack of hay. Just look at it ratio-wise (but, don't forget to discard the bacteria activity in the haystack, because in the game, you won't be dealing with bacterias anymore when you've evolved to a bigger creature. You'll only be dealing with what's visible in the naked eye. THIS is what I meant by former species being "deleted in some way.") This means that however big the memory (and space) you're using up when you're a bacteria, most likely it's going to remain the same when you're a dinosaur (or something). Catch my drift? Hehehe.. Probably not.

That would be more than an awesome game... It would be the best game I ever saw in years!

However, all this anticipation would be wasted if it would be an online only game... :not_ok:

Well, I won't deny it, but since you just did catch it up on "some site" it doesn't really seem as reliable information

I would even take 512 MB RAM and 1,4 Ghz as minimum specs, but 64 MB graphics....I dunno, I mean look at all the stuff he is doing when editing the creature. You ever worked with the program Poser? It's kind of the same procedure and it needs lots of memory.
OK, Poser-figures have a lot more polygons than usual game figures, but look at these things, that sure isn't low-poly.

Yeah, I have to say, my source isn't exactly reliable..

Also, the 512 MB RAM and 1.4 Ghz that I mentioned ARE the minimum specs.. // But I'm sticking to what I said with the space and memory usage. Except, I want to change the analogy I made a bit.. When you're still a "spore," you're only viewing things in 2D, so, discard that.. Now, change it with the 2nd stage of your creature (in the video, the creature's already in 3D, swimming around).. The bigger your creature grows, the bigger your environment will be.. BUT, the former species that you were in is going to be deleted. You won't be dealing with bacterias anymore, once you become something bigger (like that swimming creature thingy in the video), instead, you'll only be dealing with someone your own size (not exactly, but close enough). So, however big (or small) the space you're going to be using when you're in that 2nd stage, it's most likely going to be remain the same when you're in the 4th stage, or whatever. Because the only thing that's getting bigger here is the size of the creature and the environment.

Oh, by the way, when I talked about the "naked eye," above, I meant what we see on our computer screen once we enter a certain species.

Sorry, not good with explaining things. So I'll shut up now.
