To be honest with you I never noticed the flags on top.

The Dutch site has treated the problem like this:
Quote:
Bespreek de game (Engels)! (82 berichten)
(Discuss the game (English)! (82 posts)
OK, I've just changed that on the Slovene site as well, so it says the same.

Discus in English

Capital letters? That really looks as if you're blaming someone of doing something terrible.

Different languages, different ways of thinking (capitals don't mean shouting over here - and the netiquette hasn't even begun to take roots yet).

Okay, you're the expert
Are we not getting off topic here? I mean, with all the moderator stuff and so on?

I have another idea:

As you can see, the Troubleshooting forum has the Troubleshooting Archive subforum. Why noy also add an International Help subforum where there would be some topics written in the languages the site is translated in?

Why would we need them?

A: Make sure you look at the compatibility info that is displayed for each game. If it says that the game can only be run using DosBox and doesn't have a WinXP compatibility icon, obviously it will not work under WindowsXP. Also, make sure you have read any technical notes or important information listed at the end of the game's review! There is also a link to "Discuss this game" in the extras section of each game. It often contains important information so read all the posts carefully. If you are trying to use DosBox but don't know how to work with it, read on, this is also covered in FAQ. However, if you have exhausted all the possibilities, and stil can't get the game to run, you can post your problem in the !!!!!troubleshooting forum!!!!! and make sure you state the following details: [...]
What would they contain?
They would contain the message (translated in the language in question) that people should post there and wait for an answer in their post

=>

1. Every international admin would be a mod of his tread.

2. The int. admins should translate the help requests and post them in the English troubleshooting forum.

3. The link in the translated FAQ should lead to the international tread.

4. One month after the question has been answered, the post would be deleted and maybe the answer added in the first post if the problem is a common one.

All great ideas, but are we actually having this much trouble? Is it just not easier to say 'please reply in English'?

That's true. But this is a very multinational site and the guest must speak Chinese if we are not to understand him. As the (non-English) guests are directed to the forum from the translated pages, it is very likely that that language is spoken by at least someone on the site. He/she can then prompt the guest to either leave or speak English, or give a bilingual answer.
Of course, I'm still quite fresh and unexperienced, and in my opinion there are very few of these cases and a complete new subsection is a little bit exaggerated.

Master MC,
topics get closed if guest does not speak English, according to 'rules'.

I don't have a problem seeing questions in other languages, but apparantly some others do.
