You should clean (vacuum or air) that unit. Especially power unit.

Personally I suggest taking the machine apart before cleaning and going over the PCB's with a wide, dry brush.
Also, the PSUs always accumulate a whole lot of crap inside... they need a very thorough cleaning to remove it all (been there, done that).

Cleaning always keeps a pc running well. Now, if you can prevent that pc from collecting dust, thats all good.
