Nope he didn't get a red card, it was a mistake from the director, although it was looking like the referee will give him the red card he actually didn't...

The team I'll be cheering for is Ghana, I really like their playing stile...

Yay I just got back from the game from a friends house and WE ARE GOING THROUGH!!! HEHEHEHE

First of all, that Ref 'ought to be shot. There were two clear penalties that had to be given. There was alot of confusion in that game...

Anyway, Italy will be beaten.. hehe

Too much emotions for me, I'm very disappointed. All I'm going to say is that Australia deserved to go through to the 1/8 finals and we didn't!

To me i likke the football made by Australia, and Gana play very well to, so after Portugal, they are the teams i like more, Australia will kick Italy, And Gana will put Brazil in his place, outside here....

He got 3 yellow cards though. <_<

Some comments i found interesting after the game:

" We deserved to go through...." by Croatian coach. <--- How do you deserve to go through if you scored only 2 goals and if those two goals were on a game where you received 2 goals and should get additional 2 but judge didn't see the fouls and handplay. :blink:

"The hand was unconcious..." by Croatian coach. <--- ha,ha,ha ... yeha cause it's a natural position to have it hoovering above the head. plus it doesn't matter how concious it was. it only matters if he had it in a natural position.

TV host insinuating that perhaps the judge had a grudge and acted in revenge because of the last time in WC Croatia played a good match against Italy. well first of all like Simic said he probabyl didnt' remember that game and even if he did what kind of grudge would he need to have. Duh! As much as i liked this reporter when he was having a studio in Portugal, he really made a fool of himself now.

Everyone saw the offside by Kewel, which probably was there only because an australian player extended the pass with head, but no one saw the 2 clear penalties that should be given to Australia. Or the "fair play" of Simunic who stayed on after the second yellow card. he could mention to the referee that it's his second. of course the 4th judge could also see that. Simunic was playing a fool. Also he attacked the referee in the end, hitting him from behind - yeah really good sportsmanship.

And what the hell was wrong with the Australian goalie? Is he related to Ladic in some way? He should have easilly pick up that shot and he let it through. it seemed almost intentionally. Anyone noticed how in the end Australian players did everything in their power to keep the ball away form their own goalie? it wasn't matter how they were just clearing it out.

a strange match to say the least.
