come on, what nonsense. Portugal was equally dirty, with Figo on top. A little bit more objectivity wouldn't hurt you.

Oh definatelly.
Was just reading some comments on the match on BBC. I think Blater is right. the problem was inconsistency of the referee. heatbutt got yellow card, tackles form behind got yellow card, and then suddenly normal fould got yellow card.

i have to disagree with Scolari that sending off Deco was provocation. he was holidng the ball and if players haven't noticed this "the fashion" on this tournamet is to show a yellow card when someone kick away the ball after the referee whistle or tries to hold his ball so his playerts could return into defense. Therefore the seocnd one for Deco was justified, however in that event Cocu (i believe it was him) also deserved one.

I wish Australia all the luck. Italy is easy to win. a couple of fauls, a couple of good defeses and they could get very nervous. Gatuso is their weak point. Althought they have experience, Australia can take them with good fighting spirit (i mean fair fighting spirit not like the two teams we saw yesterday).

Portugal didn't deserve to win. They had 2 chances and they scored one goal. Aside from that they were only capable of laying on the ground and screaming. Pure rubbish.

I hope australia wins too but to be real here - I don't want to see that little wanker prime minister of ours johnny howard cheering on the team on his f**king rocking chair with that stupid green and gold full body track suit on. It is so much cooler that australia now actually participates in a sport where people of all races play and that sbs is telecasting it so we don't have to listen to yobbo commentary and opinions like we had at the opening ceremony of the greek olympics.

It is kind of strange to me why they don't punish the "injured" players. I mean Argentina also did a lot of it. Why not get him off the pitch and he has to stay off for 10 minutes. i mean if he is really injured he won't mind to sit for 10 minutes and rest a bit while they try to heal him. <--- that would reduce the number of simulated injuries.
if he is not injured then stop rolling on the ground like a whimp and play the game.

I noticed that that is a quite often phenomenon on the world, and is really annoying, the most funny is when player loses a ball, start twisting and rolling and then suddenly gets back up, when his team gets the ball back...
