You have some major problems, neodraco. First, you did not read the read me that came with the game. Second, looking at the top of this page , you will find your answer.

Why do "local authorities refuse to allow you to build here"? Hmm..

Also, is there some way to add a track to a station without local autorities going bonkers? If I demolish it they wont let me build there again.

No. You are really wasting your time with me. If anything, I'd rather prevent you from cheating altogether.

Each towns have a reputation meter for your company. Everytime you build destroy the landscape (lower/raise terrain, chop trees, destroy houses or roads/things belonging to the city) your reputation drop. If it drops too low, you won't be able to build in the town area anymore.

To counter that, you can do several things. Having a viable passenger transport route in the town might help with time, planting trees can help too, you could also fund things like new roads and new houses development. With time your reputation will raise again and you'll be able to build again in the town.

The main problem is that it doesn't magically change overnight. You need to work for your reputation, and it change only slowly. You'd be way better to work on it from early on by not destroying the landscape and the trees and planting trees in towns you know you'll go build later on to be certain.

You can see your current town reputation by clicking on the town name. That's where you do the special actions like funding the town roads and housing too, as well as other things like ads and promotion of your products.

A method I've always found easy is to start early linking cities with bus stations, even if these towns generate few passengers. It will keep those cities happy. Wait too long before linking a certain city and they'll get upset after the slightest action from your side that interferes with the environment.

heh, whenever a town stops me from building a vital station/network I get my revenge by changing their name to something like cr*p town.
