Act IV IS full of bugs yeah.

I give this game an A for effort (and humour), a B- for execution (the game should give you far more clues on things you could/should do next. It tries, but many puzzles are completely random and seem to make no sense.), and unfortunately an F for being full of all sorts of weird bugs that seriously hamper its playability.

:/

And thats a real pity, since the game could have well been an A all across the board.

Mind you I'm not blaming Abandonia. I'm blaming this game!

I bought this game on my Playstation 1 in the ancient times. It was one of the very first game to come on that system LOL, and was one of the very few games that supported the Playstation mouse!. And had of course all the sounds of the actors.

If any1 have problems solving the clues in this game, you can find good walkthroughs at places like www.gamefaqs.com

I am a big fan of adventure games. The humor, mainly the tour guide, is exceptional! This game is ranking up there with my Lucas Arts games viz. Monkey1, Monkey2, DOTT on the humor. Thank you abandonia for this game, I do have to say that speech version is what really brings the humor out in this game. It is very Monty Pythonish on humor, obviously because of the main character's voice, download this game!!!

Finally some1 who see the same as me ^^ This game is extremely great, but without the voices it's just a little bit more than most other adventures. Please all, get the voiced version! I guarantee you get det difference!!

Has anyone encountered the bug where when opening the safe as a ghost and getting the hammer, no hammer appears?
I've tried this several times - doing it with the door open, door shut, going to the room next door and back, trying to interact with different objects before double-clicking the jewellery box...
I've also tried doing this with the abandonia version as well as a mounted version of the cd, both in dosbox and windows xp...!
And i never hold the hammer! however rincewind can open the safe and get the hammer as many times as he wants!
can anyone help?

cheers!

Just forgot to say that the cd version which i tested has had the patched installed and the 'drivers' directory removed, following instructions in the update.bat file.

It is not a bug. Thou I agree the hintage to this puzzle was a bit wague. The idea is that Rincewind has no clue what the hammer is for, and need to find out about it. After seing it once, go to present and talk to the scary guy again, the same topics as before. Rincewind will automatically ask about the hammer. You will then know what to do. Go to the past, go to inn, use the sheet and take the jewelry box.

Oh... ok. I assumed it was a bug! I actually beat the game when it came out (like 10 years ago or more...) but got inspired to play it (thanks abandonia... NO WAY are adventure games dead!) again after a long time. Really don't remember much of the puzzles!
Thanks very much!
