The rules are written here and here. Some specific forums also have their own set of rules to add in, like for example Troubleshooting rules.

Like I said earlier, ignorance is not a defense and is not an acceptable excuse. We are a very friendly community here, so we tolerate the first few offenses easily... But "whining" (for the lack of a better word) about consequences of your action when you don't care to read the rules first is not going to help you at all.

Abandonia Reloaded has written rules in Forum Guidelines but Abandonia has not and I hope never will

Yes people, any way you slice it, you're going to get in trouble if you:

-double post
-use derogatory/offensive/profane language
-advertise
-flame
-demean in any way
-talk in extensive internet slang
-spam

Because you missed his links, and are so set about seeing forum guidelines in writing, there they are. Those might not be all of them, but follow every one of those little hyphens, and you'll never have to face an angry Kosta, Tom Henrik, or any of the other prominent authority figures.

Then I sadly have to ruin your dream. The Niles is currently working on making the rules more visible and gather all the rules in a single pinned topic in the Important Announcements. And it looks like the rules list on AB will be longer than the one on AR.

Anyway, if rules exist (and they do, obviously), what's wrong with writing them down?

Well, we can't all belong to the elite group of dissidents; we all know that by now. But the fact that a group of five people gets along apparently without rules hardly says anything about whether a much larger forum, which is open to all and on top of that allows guest posts, needs rules or not.
