Just to make a recheck concerning darkland file in this site. Is it 12.311 kb large? I wonder what file I'm missing in this game, coz the battle zcene won't come on and somehow i got myself stuck. It's just that....nothing happen.

Are there any alternative sites to download this magnificent game? Gee, I'm wondering too, are there anyone of you could get rich and roaming the land, without any single battle? Must be an expert, eh....

Hi, I think I find something weird inside darkland.zip file. There's file named 'battle.img', and the size is only 21 kB. Is that file contain battle scene images? If it so, well, I jump in my conclusion that this file had a bad corruption thing in it. If it's not, so why would on earth I got myself stuck whenever the battle scene start?

So, how was it, fifth horseman, have you check it? Btw, are there any alternatives to download this beautiful game elsewhere, but not direct download? I can't direct download coz I'm under proxy and the admin block all kind of torrent sites and MiRc <_<

Well as far as I can remember, this game actually HAS A PLOT. It's to send of the devil (Baphometh) from this plane of existance. After some adventuring, you come across more and more sophisticated sabats which will ultimately lead you to some awfuly long to beat dungeon, and the spoken devil himself... Another fact is that you can play the game after beating him.

Can you help me v4n? I had problem with darkland, it's game were freeze everytime I enter the battle scene (since the very beginning of the game, when night patrols caught me in the side street). I've tried to check the files inside, and I found that the battle.img file is actually contain NOTHING. Is it the cause of the this problem?

As a note, to run Darklands if you get the EMS Memory error:

use darklands /o (o is for override). You'll get a warning that you may run short of memory, but otherwise, it works.

I fell in love with this game when it first game out. ran across it today and will probably try it again to see if lives up to my memories.

this and Elite/Elite Plus are the two games for the PC that turned me into a computer addict.
(oh and Pirates for my old C-64)
