Either everybody but me has some kind of god-like skill or this game runs way too fast on DosBox. Combats are nigh unto impossible to win unless I'm willing to take 90% casualties (unlike running away which only produces 50-75% casualties), it frequently takes several days to get onto a planet because my spaceship will overshoot it (or it doesn't activate the transition despite passing through the planet) and the spaceship has no method of stopping or slowing down other than leaving the solar system. I've had to reload the game over six times because my ship just can't maneuver well enough to land on Alpha Cerekov I to deliver a creature to Admiral Zex and was subsequently destroyed in three seconds by the legion of enemy ships patrolling around his planet.

The god-like skill can be summed up in: Ctrl+F11.

Just goes to show that skill (in music, game design, art. . .) can outlast lots of things. .. this game just seems like its going to be FUN! Awesome! :brain:

Even whitout the spoiler, the Spathi are really hard to beat, many crew, high speed, the guided rear weapon, and coward tactics. They can drive you nuts.

They are good allies, at least their ships are great, they can take on most enemies in the beginning when you're just starting to build up your mothership capabilities. Same goes for those hippie birds.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but the game has been ported so it would work in xp, google urquan masters...
