True, but what I mean is this - I (for example) hated mathematics classes, and never understood why I had to learn calculus, I thought that I would never use it in my "real life" outside of school, and in the years since I've left school I never have needed it. But the actual process of learning those annoying numbers has helped me greatly. Learning to learn and teach yourself is, in my opinion, the greatest thing that a student can gain from school.
