![]() If anyone actually bought this game like me, the Collector's CD ROM, here's how you can get it to work..
1) Install to the directory using the CDROM install.exe. Should end up in C:\XWINGCD 2) Get DOSBOX 0.63 3) Open up DOSBOX 4) Type : mount d D:\ -t cdrom 5) Next, type : mount c C:\xwingcd 6) Finnaly, type C: in the command line. Your prompt should now be C: instead of Z:. 7) Type xwingcd, and you're in! |

![]() Hi everyone.
I got the game to work and everything, brings back memories. I have a USB Sidewinder joystick, and I am running XP SP2 and running the game in DOSBOX 0.63. I can't figure out how to shoot when in a mission - I press the trigger button and nothing happens. Thanks |

![]() Hay.
I recently found my x-wing discks and they fit well in my dosbox but i have a problem with protection. I lost my manual ages ago.. Do you know any way to bypass it, or do you have a manual in electronic version. I would really appreciate it;] cheers Roberto |

![]() You might want to check out the official DosBox FAQ, and particularly this part of it. It is quite helpful for users unfamiliar with DosBox.

![]() No but it will most likely be in two years' time, provided it's not being sold then.

![]() I have the xwing Collector's CD ROM. I was able to get it work with dosbox, but like others, the gameplay is choppy. How do I get it to function correctly with vdmsound? When I try to run it with vdmsound, it says that it can't find the cd... is there something I am not enabling correctly??
Thanks! |

![]() To get it to run better in DosBox, change core to dynamic in Dosbox.conf and increase the cycles DosBox is running at.
Enabling frameskip may also help. |
