Wings of Fury for DOS is extremely sensitive to the speed of the CPU. Using a 80 MHz DOS based system, I use the tiny MOSLOW.COM software to slow it down to 15 % of its original speed (which probably brings my system down to a 12 MHz equivalent machine). Then the game runs normally, and you CAN take off (roll left to the stern of the carrier, then use full length of the runway before hitting UP arrow together with LEFT arrow). k:

I imagine the same applies when using a faster CPU - use a slow-down software to emulate a 12 MHz machine.

By the way, all games settings are accessible through Ctrl Q or Ctrl P etc. Try Ctrl combinations to find them.

And of course, "Enter" to launch the selected weapon, and "Space" to fire the plane's gun. :w00t:
