alright! I just fixed the saving problem! :brain: (don't ask me how, it just happens! haha!)

But as I press ALT+ENTER to maximize the screeen, it says "input no support". what does that mean?

Do you happen to be using a TFT monitor?

True classic, played it on the 3DO back then, nowadays again on my PDA (PocketDOS).

Too bad none of the newer Sherlock Holmes adventures didn´t get even close to this one, anyone tried the latest "Spur der Erwachten" already ?

I'm really sorry to ask this.

But what again needs to be done to have the game play both music and speech?

If I don't have any settings for music, the game plays perfect.

However, if I set the driver for music, the game crashes right after Holmes and Watson are finished talking at the table.

Big thanks in advance to whoever know the answer to this.

Use DosBox to run the game. You can download it here.

You might also want to check out the official DosBox FAQ, and particularly this part of it. It is quite helpful for users unfamiliar with DosBox.

Ah nuts, I knew I should have stated that I already was using Dosbox to run this game.

But yeah, supposedly many others have had the same problems getting both music and sound to work correctly, including those on this forum.

I was just hoping that someone could post the solution as to how they were able to solve for this problem.

Playing Hotel Dusk and Phoenix Wright for the DS as of late has gotten me into murder mysteries.

Okay, my apologies. I tried everything I could think of to get this game working properly, which included screaming at it.

Well, somehow that made it work.

Who knows what the problem was earlier that I had with this game, but all is right with world now.

I need help! I have the game, but I have no idea how to get it to play! I can open the batch file, but it just opens one brief scene and then closes me out.

Can anyone help me out??

Thank you!

It seems you are trying to run the game in plain Windows. I strongly suggest you use DosBox instead.
You can download it here.
