I don't think it's a problem with the sword.
Does the color which displays Lord Xeen stays green all the time or do you manage to get it to yellow when you first hurt him ?
Maybe your characters are not strong enough to hurt him considerably, but a fully buffed level 28 barbarian (thanks to the +10 levels well) should be able to kill him with 2-3 hits with the sword.
If you have "World of Xeen" you can switch between "clouds" and "darkside" anytime you want and can face Lord Xeen even with a level 80 party or so.
You need to kill Lord Xeen in order to get access to the WoX areas, if he's invincible because of a bug you cannot access them after finishing darkside.

After 3-4 attempts and 3-4 years gaming with Clouds
and after my failures with well-pumped heroes ( 28 levels) , and
Original Xeen Slayer ( not from cheat mirror )
I think my game has a bug , so I started Darkside.
.. Here I am 13 level with same heroes but this Killer Cobra
make me very upset ( It's 800 Hp ),still I am unable to kill
the Cobra. I try to kill Cobra being in the river but it's very
clever and doesnt approach the river.
I am in Sandcaster town and make any attenpts to increase
my level but enemies are still very strong for me.

Yog7, did you clear Castleview's and Sandcaster's sewers? What about completing Ellinger's and the Great Southern Towers? Ensure you have enough money for a new load of spells including Implosion, Mass Distortion, and Lightning Bolt.

Yes, I cleared the both sewers - Castleview and Sandcaster. Well, I killed these
terrible Killer Cobra - about 12-13 pieces. Now my levels are 16-17.Nice.
I have enough money, friend, but I need more powerfull spells like Implosion etc.
But , sadly, I do not find where in Sandcaster is Membership office?
So I am unable to buy more spells and kill these last 3 Magicians at 3-th level of Soutehrn
Towers and take the Jewel of Ages , because my heroes getting older and older.
Hope You understand how difficult is my situation.
Any help welcome.

Yes , I mistaked for the tower. You are right.The tower is the Eastern one.

I know the location 18,10 . But when I click on the scene, = You had to be member here to buy spells ..= text appeared. Once again - I want to find membership office to became member of the guild and then buy more powerful spells. Am I clear enough now? Playing about 4 years Clouds and now World I am quite familiar with the way how to buy spells.

One new question if YOU please:
- I entered the Western tower ( it is in Giant area , but I am unable to open the door at the 1 level , even with 100 Mgt )I try to open with strong leg kick , in vain. Where is my fault , Kmonster?
btw do YOU know how to change the place of one of my heroes in the order- for example far right male to became far left one or some?

At last I want to note - the game is very, very hard when starting from zero. But you know my unhappy moments with my bugged version of Clouds , when I was unable to kill the nasty Lord Xeen and to start World , using all my experience,money, spells and so on by Clouds.

Strange. The membership should be available at 18/10 while the guild is at 18/22. Maybe you have to face another direction.
I don't remember having difficulty with doors in the Towers, usually my thief just picked the locks.
Only secret doors need bashing. I guess you already know that strength can be increased temporary by drinking from certain wells and that the strength of the first two characters is important.
I don't remember how to change character positions but it was quite simple, maybe just just drawing the pictures with the mouse or using one of the keys F1-F12.
If you are desperate you could just visit an inn and dismiss and rejoin until the party order is complete. This costs a day though.
If you still can't get past that door you might as well explore the other areas first, maybe those doors are so hard to open in order to keep you from facing enemies beyond your level.

MM5 is quite hard the first time with a newly created instead of MM4 party, but you'll improve over time. If you start a new WoX game after beating both parts you'll have a far easier time with the gained knowledge. Do you play adventurer or warrior mode ?

I recommend downloading the official MM5 cluebook from www.replacementdocs.com, maybe there's a better description of Sandcaster and the northern tower near the giants. www.gamefaqs.com and the MM5 shrine at www.rpgclassics.com can also yield very valuable information.

I'm looking for the CD version of this game, but I can't find it anywere... That's sad, I really want to play this chapter of the series =(

A torrent would be a good idea to preserve this old classic !!! There's torrents for all M&M versions but this one...
