EDIT: My word m a s s e s, was changed to a word that didnt make sense. Whoever decided to use some half arsed automatic censor needs a kick in the 'behind'.
It should be fixed now....

Actually, it was funny back then in the old design of the forum, when you wrote assault or assassin and out came "behind"... LOL

First of all, there is nothing like dumb/ intelligent kind of music.

Same music can sound dumb to you, but there might be something hidden behind there, that will triger some memories/senses... I am not sure if you can understand what I am talking about.

And different music needs certain situation to be welcome more readily. Not all music fits to every situation. Just right now you might think, music of ACDC isn't that cool because you need something heavy boosting up like Frontline Assembly instead. Next time you find Frontline Assembly little too screamish and hyped and prefer more calm, slow ACDC instead.
It always depends so don't say music could be dumb or intelligent. Only rarely it is really.

I like music that has had some thought put into it by the songwriters.

There is nothing wrong with electronic elements in music but anyone can sit at a computer and create a drumbeat and bbehind line with the right software.
Do you mean that in electronic music the songwriters don't think what they do?
(...well some might not, but... )

Anyway, why don't you try yourself how easy it is to create music yourself? The software won't do the music, the guy behind the screen does.

Anubis, Britney Spears is dumb music, Limp Bizkit is dumb music, Tori Amos is intelligent music, Bjork is intelligent music.
