![]() I've download PD2 form 3 different places and all of them have problems with sound. From the error messages I presume that they are missing sound drivers for soundblaster (only pcspeeker is working). I'm trying to find working SB drivers.
PD2 Dash cd version is working just fine under DOSBox (including sound). Maybe the files from PD2D will help to solve this problem.

![]() Where did you get a PC version of PD2 Dash?
PS. The guide is getting forward. Mission 6 walktrough done. I've used a small team of three in an ARV15 to clear out the bridge first and then deployed the rest. SMINE launchers turned out to be just perfect for the initial drop clearing enemy loaders guarding the bridge. |

![]() S-Mines, Fifth? Did you keep them through the mission or drop them when they were expended?

As a side note, I've compressed them into MP3 and uploaded for addition into Abandonia's game music section. Should be here in a few days. PS. Mission 7 is done for the guide as well. PS2. Just checked that torrent with PSX version of PD2. Unfortunately, turned out to be dead. |

![]() I cannot use Torrent or Edonkey or any P2P filesharing... at least where I live :tai:
... Can anyone upload PD 2 and ADV PD 2 to some kind of public filesharing site? I know that I am not really asking something simple, but I wont ask this if I am not desperate.

![]() Might be a problem, since the transfer rates here have recently been capped. I'll see what can be done, but don't expect the full ISO of ADPD2 at least for a while.
Right now I'm through testing several tactics for Mission 7, so that the most reliable one can be included in the guide. So far the one that looks most promising is to send in two or three DOLLs with X32R's (R20 RCT at the shoulder mount plus MkII sensor packs in both hands) and annihilate the trucks from afar. After that - according to last evening's experiment - the escorts begin moving to the eastern map border, cutting off your retreat. That's gonna be a lot of target practice for my DOLLS PS. I'm using Google Groups to comb usenet for PD-related info. Found what apparently is a set of guides for PD3 at tw.bbs.rec.pcgame, but Google Translation didn't help much in understanding them. |

Same here. If you drop your weapon then it will cost you some time before new supplies arrive. You can drop a weapon only if you are sure that it will help to win the battle. How much can be gain from dropping a weapon, 3-4 additional AP? On other hand in rpg games I've tendency to collect items (often quite rare) and then finishing the game using only few of them. So beware <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(the_fifth_horseman @ Apr 3 2007, 02:26 PM) </div> Quote:

I can do it when the mp3 files are going to be online. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(the_fifth_horseman @ Apr 3 2007, 02:26 PM) </div> Quote:
Here some link http://bbs.chinaemu.org/htm_data/66/0703/63877.html I was checking their BT links and FTP but couldn't find this game. (there is also a Chinese title of these game if You don't know it already - /me have check it on emule, but found only one archive with PD2D&APD2) And speaking of links check this site for mp3 from PD audio cd: http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-...racks/browse/P Music from game isn't so great, but maybe someone will like it. I've download another version of PD2 with some sound driver included and still have problems with sound. Drivers seems to be for sbpro, but I've stuck on finding config.sys in DOSBox. I've been curious if there is a way to modify PD files and with HEX editor found that there is a simple way to extract BMP files from APD2. Tactics and Briefing screens are made only from BMP files. There is also a way to insert modified files back into the game. If there is someone with greater grafics skills then my own there could be some basics translation for the game? I'm searching for a method to decode font and text files. The same could be probably done for PD2, but there is some compression method and I can't identify it.

I've also heard of Power Dolls FX (for PC-FX console). Apparently it includes a bunch of video sequences from the anime... that one might be a remake of PD1 Quote:
But I found a Japanese copy - WITH sound! (and MIDI files with music - these are also going to Romano right away) Did you happen to find a copy of PD2 Dash for PC? Quote:

PS. I've continued my Google Groups investigation - it appears that cheating can be accomplished using GameWizard utility. Didn't have time to look into the save structure again, but will do that soon. PS2. The ripped copy of ADPD2/PC is only 15 MB when compressed. I'll send you a link tomorrow. |
