I much prefer Dosbox to D-fend - after the initial confusing start-up w/ dosbox when you program
it to not default to "Z" drive or whatever, it's pretty simple. LOL worked fine for me in Dosbox - and to the post before this one, google lands of lore walkthrough - you'll find all the answers you need.

Fine for one game and one configuration Caz - but what about when you have a dozen or more DOS games your flipping between? Or even just 3 or 4. Want to re-configure Dosbox for each game each time? Or just set up eachj game in D-Fend and then just double click on the game you want? Any time I want to play one of my DOS games, all I have to do is go into the genre (because you can define the games by genre as well as put specific info like cheats etc for that game!) then double click on the game I want and voila, all the setting up to make that one game play the best it can within dosbox is handled by D-fend. Personally, I couldn't live without it.

No problem there, I just don't mind typing a few lines of DOS code to get a game running, plus somewhere
I read you shouldn't have more than X amount of games in the game folder, but I throw all sorts of crap in there, and I haven't had a problem. If you like D-fend more power to you, but DOSbox works just fine for me w/ all the games except one that I've gotten off this particular site, plus a few more I've picked up from various sources.

Every game I play often, I create a tailored config and shortcut for.

If you really want to use a frontend, try DBGL.

And may I be so fortunate to ask where "that" manual is, that contains the password for the guard, in the kings palace? I certainly can find no hints about that in the manual that can be downoaded where the game can.

Thank you for your help, in advance.
