![]() Not quite
As for Thåström, I prefer Ebba Grön rather than Imperiet, but then again, I'm happily stuck with those old punk bands, and Sweden brought us quite a few good ones EDIT: Blondie - their debut album 2nd EDIT: Calling it a day with Tom Waits' Tom Traubert's Blues

![]() Cornelis Vreeswijk again, with "Mördar-Anders"/"Murderer Anders"
I took the liberty of translating this song. I just love these stories C.V. tells in his songs Murderer Anders (Cornelis Vreeswijk) Murderer Anders, that's my name, that's my name Murderer Anders, that's my name, that's my name Murderer Anders, that's my name I'll be beheaded today That the Law Of Sweden says, I'll be damned! I have murdered four men, four men I have murdered four men, four men I have murdered four men If they're not in heaven I'll be seeing them again, I'll be damned! The executioner's there with a hood so red The executioner's there with a hood so red With his sword and hood so red He means to see me dead Coz that pays his daily bread, I'll be damned! The priest stands there down on the ground The priest stands there down on the ground The priest stands on the ground while his angels' sound But I sure know what I'm doin', I'll be damned! Little Karin she is there, she is there Little Karin she is there, she is there Little Karin she is there She who I once held dear Can you see her pride for me? I'll be damned! You who're waiting for my shout, for my shout You who're waiting for my shout, for my shout You who're waiting for my shout Will see a handsome corpse about Anything to please the crowd, I'll be damned! This is my farewell song, farewell song This is my farewell song, farewell song This is my farewell song The axe'll be wet before long I don't care where I'm goin', I'll be damned!

You can even sing it to the same tune [/b][/quote] I'm not supprised. "Sam Hall" aka "Jack Hall" is an old English traditional. These folk songs have been sung (and translated) by many people, including Cash & Vreeswijk Now: Cockney Rejects - various tracks. I'm thinking of going out, and the Rejects are exellent "charging up" music EDIT: <_< As the rain continues, I decided to stay at home instead of sitting all wet at some pub, so I dug out some Toy Dolls albums instead. Now "Wakey Wakey". 2nd EDI: Nah, to hell with the weather, I'm going out anyway. Time for pool and pints \o/
