Windows 98 is closer to pure DOS than XP is, afterall XP isn't related to DOS while Win98 is. Why not give it a go if you have 9x? If it doesn't work, try restart Win into DOS (there is an option there at the shut-down menu). If it still doesn't work, then you would want to either 1) run it in pure DOS via a DOS boot disc (you can find one here at Abandonia) or 2) play it through DOSBox if your machine is powerful enough to run DOSBox (it is a resource-hungry program).

I can't seem to get it loaded properly. How do I install the program without the floopy disks?

If you downloaded it from here you don't have to run the install, just unZIP and start the game.

Wow, I had purchased this game and enjoyed it a TON back then. Until one of my install floppy discs went belly up. Heck right after finding this, I rummaged through a big ole' box of old computer stuff I have and found the paper instructions or "Survival Guide".

Quickly read thru all the posts here, and will now try running it on dos box. Awesome guys!!
