![]() Trust me, UFO:Extraterrestrials is better!
Even music and sound effects are amazing, they are different from the first XCom but really similar |

![]() Hm, I was quite excited reading your posts about this latest attempt at recreating UFO.
However after reading the review on http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/ufoext...ials/index.html it seems I'm better off waiting for some other company to give it a shot. The AI looks promising and challenging, but in particular the stability issues, extremely slow speed and some strange choices that hinder gameplay seem to be too much of a drawback. In addition to that, there seems to be a bit too much repetition in scenery as well as gameplay (ok, that last comment goes for the original UFO game as well, but they were pioneers; I expect any company following in their footsteps to add some new elements). Judging by the player comments though there seem to be already some great fan-made modifications out there for UFO: Extraterrestrials so that may still make the game worth playing, in fact some people seem downright ecstatic about those mods.

![]() About stability issues and slow speed they made a big patch that solve all those problems
Btw I'm playing it in these days and I have to say that the review you posted isn't so reliable, but that's always my opinion Thanks for your polite post. |

![]() It's good news that the stability issues are solved + it also indicates that their developers do care about such critical issues...
Now that I know that stability is not a problem anymore, and reading your feedback plus that of a lot of people who are more positive than the review, I'll see if I find the game somewhere soon. It seems to be out of stock in the nearest places and I don't feel like downloading 1,5 GB from that one site that sells it as a download only :P

![]() It's been quite a while I've had that game, and while on some different time, it might be good, I'm not into playing it right now. While it's good that they didn't just make a plain copy of the old X-COM, I consider the differences they made are bad, like soldiers not really dying.
