Been there, I think it's pretty obvious this isn't the first gaming board I'm on ....... and still are.
If they bore me with their n00b stuffs I simply leave and don't come back.
And at least, this one said thx.
Makes up for the next eight ones.

Hi all,
Ive installed and am running AItD on my Pc. The trouble is that in the first room (after choosing the woman as my charcater) a monster comes through the window and attacks me. I've read the manual and it says for me to keep the spacebar pressed down while pressing the arrow butttons to attack the monster but nothing happens when i do that. i just die!

Please help.

Works fine, space + cursor keys.
Timing ... it's all in the timing.

Or you need a new keyboard.

BTW: If you find this AITD hard NEVER ever play Bioforge.

Euuurh ... no.
Both works:
first space and then the cursor keys
or
cursor keys and then space.

Difference?
-> When you first press space she will get a defensive ( or offensive if yo uwant) position, meaning she will stand still and raise her both hands on chest hight, ready to fight, in the direction she is facing.
-> When you first hit the cursor and then the space bar she will first step forward, backward or turn and then get in defensive/offensive position.
Small difference, but it can save a lot of health points.

Depending the situation your character is in, you must choose the best method.
Lets look at the wolf situation:
Wolf in front of you and in reach, hit first space and then cursor, you knock him down easily without (or minimal) own damage.
Wolf aside of you or just out of reach, first appropiate cursor to get him in reach and then space.

Try it out, you'll see. Timing , it's all in the timing.

Just block the window with the cupboard and the monster won't get in.

Hello people. I'm having some problems.

So, I'm running Windows ME (with the real DOS deal), and when AITD DOES run, I need to configure it to my sound needs. But the thing is, the game seems to crash whenever I go to configuration, and I need to close the game.

Before this, I could configure the sound settings to my preferences and the game would play-but there'd be two problems: one is there would be no soundtrack and only sound effects, and two is that whenever I got to a certain point, I'd get the blue screen of death.

Welp, this means I need help. Any ideas, folks?

Thanks.

Had the same kind of probs when I was on ME with AITD.
Solved them by using a Dos6.22 bootdisk. (Had a FAT16 partition for those ol'games).
If you only have FAT32 partitions you'll need a FAT32 compliant bootdisk.

All depends on what soundcard or onboard soundchip you have .
