then it goes into the game format(ive cn the game played b4) and alil red/purplish box comes up and tells me it is unable to locate LIBINDEX.DIR system error then freezes my laptop

and my shoes r black van kicks with a hot pink checkered v...i kno...they kick behind....

Oh my that looks very bad.
You're wearing the wrong shoes to play PM2.
Really.

Now, 'bout that game:
1) Create a c:\oldgames\ (we're in Windows here)
2) Drag and drop \pm2\ to c:\oldgames (The WHOLE folder).
3) Run dosbox and input:

mount c c:\oldgames\
c:
cd pm2
pm2

That should do it.
