There is a DOSBox tutorial stickied in the Troubleshooting forum. You might want to read it.
Also, try searching in the Troubleshooting forum for threads about Discworld - it's possible that one of them might have a solution to your problem.

Need A hand with Personal Inventory
Can't seem to put anything into Rincewind's Personal Inventory. Clicking (L/R) simply does nothing. It means I cannot finish certain parts of the game.
I have been using VDMS and Dosbox. thanks |

I played Discworld a few days ago using Dosbox 0.71 and Rincewinds inventory worked fine. Did you enlarge the inventory window? (Pull the borders) Otherwise it might get full with the pouch and the pick-pockets icon.
You should be able to simply drop objects into the window with a left click. The only other problem I can think of is that Rincewind can only carry limited number of objects (I think two), so if its inventory is full you might have to move something into the chest. |

i downloaded discworld from this site and when i ask it to install it starts to but then comes up with a message saying " cannot open: DW_1.RNC " HELP!
