I created Dungeon Maps for every Dungeon in the Game.

I posted a few Maps in AP-Threads.

For Example:

http://www.abandonia.com/en/forum?ur...ead.php?t=7945

I also wrote a Solution with some extra (Buy/sell, Spell, Level, etc) but its not finished.

Reason 1: Since my Pc has no Sound, I cant hear when i step on a plattform, which opens a secret Door/Wall. Thus i cant complete the Map without knowing ALL secrets.

Reason 2: MY english isnt good at all, specially my grammatic suckt. So i hope someelse would write it.

Reason 3: I need someelse to play the Game to find out if the Map/Solution is correct or he/she finds error that i oversaw.

Hi Paco
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. I had a look at Abandoned Places. As SAL said, the map looks very intriguing. BUT unfortunately I do not play RPGs any more, much as I like them, because I have a problem with RSI (repetitive strain injury, also known as carpal tunnel syndrome) from too much computer work and playing PC and video games. So since then I stick to adventure games which have less mouse-work than RPGs. My RSI was so bad a couple of years ago my whole arm went numb for weeks and I had to stop computer work and games for 3 months!!! My favourite RPGs were the Final Fantasy series 1 to 7 (Playstation) and much earlier it was Shining Force (on the Sega Megadrive, aka Genesis in USA).

Warning signs of RSI (info for anyone experiencing the symptoms and not knowing what is wrong) : persistent tingling in the fingers, later developing into pain in the fingers, hand/s and later in arm/s, and even later losing all feeling in fingers, hand and arm and difficulty with movement (serious problem!!!). Cure: essential to see your doctor -my experience is you will not be completely "cured" without an operation, but have to cut down on the amount of typing and mouse-work. In extreme cases, stop all computer work and video games for a few months. (My sister lost 90% of the use of her hand and arm through RSI for more than 2 years, became unemployed as a result, and still has pain and still has to be very careful). Hope this info re RSI helps someone!!!

Hi Marshall99 and Sal
Thanks for your feedback about Cowberries and darts etc. Much appreciated.

Best regards, Wendy

:laugh:Hi Wendy....Wow RSI and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome sound really awful. Fortunately my job doesn't require me to be on the computer except to write reports. HoweverI have found that when I rest my hand on the desk as I use the mouse I have to stop every so often.Your warning about being careful not to overdo things is very timely. Thank you so much for that...SAL

Paco... I love RPG and Adventure games and I am only restricted by the amount of time I have available to play.. I would love to play "Abandoned places" but can't get it to play on my computer at the moment. Seems to have downloaded OK and installed but won't play. Having the same trouble with "Inner Worlds" ..."Adios" ...SAL

Hi Sal and anyone who is interested.
Yes, dropping your wrists while you type or use the mouse is definitely a big part of the cause of RSI, and the other part is sheer repetition of movement over many weeks/months (e.g. typing, mouse clicking (especially in RPGs or shooting games), etc). The ergonomicists say one must type or use a mouse with arm and hand in a straight line, not with wrist dropped.

Quite some time ago I bought a special mouse pad (one for work and one for home) called a "gel mouse pad". They are not very expensive. The gel-part that you must place/turn to underneath your wrist area, is a raised pad of covered gel that helps prevent you from dropping your wrist altogether, so when you feel your wrist touching the gel-pad, you are reminded to lift your wrist - or at minimum, it stops your wrist dropping all the way to the desk. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to using it, and now I would not be without it (for the last few years). In S.A. you can buy it at a good stationery shop, or at a good PC shop, so I presume it would be the same where you are.

One can also get a long gel strip-pad (it is called a gel keyboard wrist rest) to put parallel with and touching the bottom of the keypad, to serve the same purpose when typing i.e. to prevent you dropping your wrists too far. I always use one of those too, both at work and at home. Don't use it as a wrist rest, but try to keep your wrist slightly higher, not actually touching it. It definitely reduces the RSI risk and strain, but does not altogether stop it because the other cause of RSI is sheer continuous repitition of movement.

Best wishes
Wendy
