-> delete your millenia folder -(doesn't work anyway, really, do it, the cfg file is wrong, won't work)-

-> create a c:\oldgames
-> run dosbox, mount lines:
mount c c:\oldgames
mount d d:\ -t cdrom
d:
now install the game from D to C:\millenia in dosbox

to run your game:
mount c c:\oldgames
mount d d:\ -t cdrom
c:
cd millenia
mil

Keep in mind that your C in dosbox is c:\olgames in windows.
Should work, if you have the original cd. Do you?

If you want to use an ISO of the CD, use IMGMOUNT to mount it.

Still the same. Doesn't want to take my CD.

There is the possibiliy to play from CD directly; doesn't work as well.

Yes, I installed everything in Dosbox.
Just to be sure I deleted everything and re-installed.

And when I try to run directly from CD it still says ...

Searching For CD-ROM ...
Unable to locate CD-ROM with Millenia on it. Make sure that
the disc has been inserted into your CD-ROM drive.

End of story.

Silly question: Is the CD drive designated d in windows? If not, change the last of the 2 "d"s in your mount command to match the designated letter.

Unhappy

Well it seems that you've done everything you could, I had a similar problem with the CD version of Mega Man X for Dos. Try as I might I could not get it to run. I found out later that the CD was jacked up and that it would not even run on a Pure Dos system. what I'm trying to say is that the CD may be shot, and that may be the problem. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Also crossed my mind, but he said he installed 'in dosbox', so the drive letters must match.

It's or what ay2516 said, or a bad copy -(the game does a CD check, and looks for the correct label amongst others)-.
