I am using DOSBox and those are the commands I execute and the messages I get.

My copy of the game is on my home folders, so it's /users/filipe/dosgames/heroes

I mounted the c: in my home folder:

mount c /users/filipe/dosgames

When I insert a DVD into the drive, any folder in it says to be located in the /volumes/dvdvolume section

Also note that it is much easy to place those commands into config file (AUTOEXEC) of DOSBox, so that you don't have to type this every time you start DOSBox

I did that (but changed the dvdvolume to "dvd_video" because the dvd driver has the same name as the DVDs that you introduce and the one I had was "dvd_video") and I got this message:
MSCDEX: Mounted subdirectory: limited support.
Drive D is mounted as CDRom /volumes/dvd_video

But then I try to execute any of the Heroes files and I get the exact same error messages as my other post !

Did you try to create ISO and just mount ISO instead of CD?

Another thing you can do is to copy all files from CD into folder, and then mount that folder as CD.

What ISO file? Do I need an ISO file for this? I just downloaded the Heroes folder from a website and DOSBox and I thought that was it. What else do I need?

Windows version has ISO file which you can burn on CD and then install the game to your computer. No dosbox needed there.

ISO file is disk image, but in this case you don't need that. Sorry, I was under impression that you have original disk.

This game require only to recognize that your system has a CD, it does not matter what is in it.

Easiest solution in your case is to create dummy folder on your home directory (for example 'temp' folder - /users/filipe/temp ) and then mount this folder as CD (mount d -t cdrom /users/filipe/temp).

Start the game, and execute heroes. It should work and you should see attached screen.
