Hi guys, these old TSR games sure bring back a lot of great memories. I finished Pools and Silver Blades, but this one has a special place in my old library (w/c was destroyed due to moisture & water damage).

My question:

Does Champions of Krynn really lack a female set of icons? I have a bunch of female clerics & wizards wearing robes just to make clear their gender. I also make do by using the head icon w/ long hair & girlie colors like pink robes & stuff. However, the body types are just wrong. <sad>

Can anybody help w/ this issue? Much appreciated

Yeah. You're pretty limited as to character icons in this game. On the plus side, if you advance your characters all the way into Dark Queen of Krynn you then will have female icons available.

The amiga version allows more body types.

thanks very much for the info! now I can play w/ more peace of mind. I once played Death Knights game back in the early 90's, but never got to play the others. This is an old score to settle.lol

I'm playing this via DOSbox and I'm not getting any of the sound effects, but I can hear them if I play directly through DOS; the problem is that if I play it through DOS then everything is really sped up and I don't have enough time to read the in-game text. Do I have to change the DOSbox settings? And if so, what do I change them to?

I suggest that you try to configure the sound via the setup file while using DOSBox. Especially if there is any kind of auto detection.
