I don't think that's the case. You might want to try running the thing first.

I changed the resolution in the options menu mistakenly to a resolution not supported by my monitor.
now every time I start the game the monitor goes "frequency out of range" warning. I can hear the game but cant see nothing. I cant change the res. whithout seeing the menus. Please help me.
I also erased the game and reextracted but didnt work out. Heeelp!

start->run->regedit

go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acclaim\Re-Volt

on the right side, find values ScreenName and ScreenWidth

rightclick it->modify->decimal->enter any dimension for width and height you wish (640 width and 480 height for example)

The "flip the screen" part was a joke. You should have read the nest paragraph of that post, however:

hi friend,

well, i have a flipping screen problem.
the screen flips sideways.
i used the patch 1.207.
i unzipped the patch to the place where revolt was installed but i still have the problem.
i unzipped the patch to the destination folder "c/: re-volt "
is that right ?
what is the correct way of applying a patch?

heeeelp !!!

Some patches for really - REALLY old games are unpacked this way.
But more commonly, the patch has an executable (EXE) file which you need to run to install it.
