Alll videogames imply mental exercise, of course some more than others. When people talk about educational games they're usually talking about a more particular kind. This list is about remarkable games that are remarkably educational, not about remarkable educational games. In that case they should have included at least Civilization, Sid Meier is so going to sue them.

It says 80s - Civilization came out later then that.

Damn, you got me, I had overlooked the "80s" bit. Even Railraod Tycoon is one year late.

Well but at least Pirates! is educational about history and geography. :P
