Yeah, so I've tried putting a CD in both of my drives and pressing F, and it's still not working. Any other ideas?
1. Get Dosbox
2. go to Profile Setup Wizard, make a profile for Malcom's Revenge
3. when you get to the mounting part, click on auto-create, then click on add
4. in this window, set mount type to CD-ROM, then set the path to your Malcom's Revenge folder

click OK

then run the game! :Tom:

Probably a stupid question, but, did you set the sound with the install program? Also do you play the game in DosBox?
Because I doubt that under Windows XP or Windows 98 without special compatibility drivers for old Soundblaster cards-compatibility there would be sound in Dos-mode at all.

Then you should try it without D-Fend. And try to set the sound to Soundblaster Pro or plain Soundblaster (2.0 eventually).

Simply Soundblaster or Sounblaster original or Soundblaster 2.0.

I can remember playing Kyrandia years ago. I would LOVE to get it working again. I am able to play the game without Voices or Music(what is the fun tho) I have tryed every setting under the sun for the game and DOS BOX. Can anyone tell me if they actually got the music, and voices working? If so, what setting did you select in the setup program dos or windows and which sound driver? Additionally, what sound card are you emulating in dos box?

[sblaster]
# type -- Type of sblaster to emulate:none,sb1,sb2,sbpro1,sbpro2,sb16.
# base,irq,dma,hdma -- The IO/IRQ/DMA/High DMA address of the soundblaster.
# mixer -- Allow the soundblaster mixer to modify the dosbox mixer.
# oplmode -- Type of OPL emulation: auto,cms,opl2,dualopl2,opl3.
# On auto the mode is determined by sblaster type.
# oplrate -- Sample rate of OPL music emulation.

type=sbpro1
base=220
irq=7
dma=1
hdma=5
mixer=true
oplmode=auto
oplrate=22050

hmm, i kind of have the same you have Basil. All except that the type is sb16

[sblaster]
type=sb16
base=220
irq=7
dma=1
hdma=5
mixer=false
oplmode=auto
oplrate=22050

I tried all the modes (sb16, sbpro2, sbpro1, sb2, and sb1) and it didnt work
