Used to play this a lot as a kid. Although, the version I played had only 3 different levels and you had to pass each level three times to advance.

And it was very fast, too. Now, playing this in DOSBox, I set the speed to 100 and it felt still quite slow.

Just finished my first attempt, scored 22160. I played through all five?? levels once and died when I was in that space level for the second time.

Oh jesus.

Nostalgia'd so hard I almost cried.

I remember the PC we had in our classroom in Grade 0 had this game on it.
I miss my childhood.

From what I've learned, it seems as if the version you remember would be the Shareware version. The shareware isn't really a "Limited to the first episode" type version of CD-Man, it's more of a earlier version that was later improved upon with the full version. However, the shareware version also seems like basically a good freeware title in it's own right. Search google for "CD-Man Shareware DOS" or similar, and you should find a download of it on some shareware DOS game downloader site.

Hope this helps.
