BTW: A forum is here to exchange ideas, talk, comunicate, joke...
So if everyone would just stick to the title of the thread the forum would be extremely boring!!!
Every joke, every little bit of comments are the things that make the forum alive. And if that's what you're trying to prevent - then I'm out of here.

So please - think hard and explain just what is spam and WHAT'S SO BAD ABOUT IT??????

EDIT: And one more thing! If it's because different people are actually getting concerned with the number of posts - then I think it would be better to take those numbers down!!!

I know I haven't looked at that couter until other people pointed out, that I'm getting really high...

Well he has a point. Conversations always branch off into other topics than from what you started off on. A conversation can go through many different topics in just 1 hour. And since it's easier to stay in one thread than thousands of threads, then it's hard to know what spam could be.

When someone go off topic sometimes, that's nothing worth mentioning. When that someone keeps going off topic further, he'll be told to stay on topic. That alone isn't spam yet, though (I would say). But when someone keeps posting double posts all the time, going off topic all the time, this is spam.

I would say that things are off topic when you can't even see what the name of the topic has to do with the main conversation. And when people are posting stuff like "oh" or "ok", and nothing else, without a reason. There are some stuff that should be answered, and some things are just obvious, and don't need an answer. If you get my point :blink:

I have to say, personally, I'm not a big fan of those games, "Name game", "hangman" or stuff like that. I don't have anything against it, but I look at it as a way to boozt up the post count. I know that in many other forums, games like that belong in sub-forums where posts aren't counted. I think that's a great idea, as there are many people who look at those games as a way to get a high postcount.

And also, in my opinion, stuff that belongs in PM's are also spam. For an example, just now, Iron Scarecrow asked Yamcha what his warning level is. In my honest opinion, that belonged in a PM.

But well, those are only my opinions
