It's not going to decrease spamming. Everything you all consider spam is just going to be in the forum that doesnt count posts. It's still there. Just post counts for some people will be lowered, the ones who are here to have fun.

I suggest you that you all take a deep breath and relax.
Big red letters will not help you.

We aren't dictators or so. the ability to ban you or restrict posting was allready present (and sometimes used) before this system. It's just friendly of us to give the user the ability to see: how close he is too being banned and the user can change its behaviour to match.

When the need for clear rules arives we will post them. We know now that you would like them. So don't keep on pressing that information.
That's irritating behaviour that is suitable for a warning IMHO.

Warning levels can go down and does not require all that much either. Be a usefull member and at the very least one that does not cause problems and those warm levels will go down. It will take a few weeks of good behaviour for it to happen and for heavens sake do not PM us asking it to be lowered as it will not in that case.

For second time this thread, we have not changed a single rule we have only changed how the rules we already have are to be enforced.

what causes a warn level raise? Well excessive spamming will. What is spamming? You already know. Useless post are spam. This does not mean that every single post that is not 100% on topic will cause a warn level raise. We had a practice of warning members via PM when we tought that they spammed and that practice has now been replaced with the warn level system. We are not going to be stricter or more lax when it commes to spam we are only going to deal with what we always have dealt with differently.
Another thing that will raise your warn level is flaming. What is flaming? Calling people names reacting to a comment with all caps (which is shouting). This will raise your level significantly. Flaming is the biggest nuiscence on the web and more serious then spamming. If you flame you can be assured that we will deal with it severly. Today even I banned a member permanently for flaming (not important who).

These are the two main causes for warn level raises. A possible third would be being a general nuisence. In that category would fit everything harmfull for the wellbeing of the forum and it's members that does not fit into the previous two.

Does this sound daunting? Do you fear being banned now? It isn't and you shouldn't be. Nothing has changed for the ordinairy member. You all already know how to behave on the forum and you all damm well know how not to behave. Don't be an arsh and you will never have a problem with any of us. The only (and I mean ONLY) people who have had their forum lives changed are the admins and moderators who need to learn how to use the new system.

P.S. We will not now nor will we ever publish a list of the people who have their warn levels raised. It is a private matter between the mods/admins and the people in question.
