Wow I didn't realise that Bert Higgins: The Man from H.E.L.L. was still around. The name was mostly picked to make it stand out from the mass of other shareware which was about at the time. It looks like it succeeded at that. Sales were kind of killed off before it got going as the 1st version of Doom was launched just before Bert was released. Shortly after that 3D became the norm and Bert just look horribly dated.

I always felt that Bert was a MUCH better game than it looked on the surface - the physics simulation was way beyond most other games of the time. Line-of-sight (ie enemies invisible when obscured by scenery) was also unusual back then.

Did any of you know that it was a sequel to my previous games: Bughunt, Bughunt II & Action Bughunt for the Atari ST?
