Or you could just get a Glide wrapper and run the 3Dfx version (works at least in x86 OS, tested on Vista and Win7)

Does the run 3Dfx version work in 800x600 resolution?

EDIT: for some reason, I can't seem to see my original post in FireFox (sometimes it says #230, sometimes #232), but it kinda works in IE. Is there a forum issue or something?

Wow, man, why did I bother?...

I just tried the 3Dfx/dgVoodoo trick and it works brilliantly! Ignition in glorious 1680x1050 on Win7 x64, and with menus and all.

Simplest way to run Ignition on Win7.

I have windows 7 64 bit, how the hell do you work it! please tell me I have the 3dfx.exe file and dgvoodoo in the same folder and it loads up okay it asks me to select the language but then the screen goes white and says that it has to close please tell me how I can get this working

Could someone please explain step by step how to get Ignition working on windows 7 64 bit? everytime i open it it loads the language selection but then it goes white and then crashes, I tried Dgvoodoo settings and put them in the same installation folder and tried Dos Box and dos box said that it simply cannot run the program

OMFG I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! FOR EVERYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM

You have to use DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION option, just make the Ign_3Dfx.exe file add that to the list and it will work!

Can someone please help me though, somehow I have the video working 100 percent fine! but there is only sound effects, there is no music for some reason?

It is possible this game archive does not in fact have sound. I can't say for sure but at 17mb I would guess it doesn't.

Ya but that doesnt make anysense, because I downloaded two different downloads of the game from different websites and the one that works perfectly doesnt have music, but theone that does play the music is the one that is slow and glitchy and the cars are black and the entire screen is black when you try to race
