I've verified that the file is good on the server side, but I've had to try downloading it three times before doing it successfully. The server seems to be having problems, perhaps because of the size, although some of the times it aborted early, so it may be temporary.

Try re-downloading. If your browser doesn't inform you when the download is aborted, check the file's properties: its size (not "size on disk" but just "size") should be exactly 312,229,324 bytes.

After several attempts, the best I've gotten so far is 295 MB (309,742,561 bytes). I'll try again later, and hopefully it will let me have the rest!

i tried to drag some things from my inventory onto merchant (either NPC named merchant and Caladrin) and they take everything as a gift ... any idea ?

Each merchant buys only some kinds of items, and that's different for different merchants. For the rest he will behave like a regular person, that is they just take whatever you give them--and it doesn't help anyone. I think the "peddlers" buy almost anything, but they pay poor prices.

The guys walking on the street labelled "merchants" aren't really merchants, in the sense that they won't buy or sell anything. They're just ordinary people like nobles etc.
