I guess I'm going to have to suck it and see with the VM. I remember reading about them ages ago about how they just don't work for games, something to do with the way full screen works, admittedly though that was several years ago, and computer technology moves on every half a second
 |

Don't worry, they do work.
But it's always better to try and run the game natively, it often works. The first link can help you with that.
