Try Paladog, Doctor Who Legacy, or something at least half-original

Call me old fashioned but I think Snake is still the best mobile game ever!

If if stick to the "smartphone age" stuff only, I only played one game so picking a favorite one is super easy for me.
 Plants vs Zombies 2.

 well the only mobile game I've played on for any length of time was Andor's Trail, it's a pretty ok dungeon & outdoors crawlerhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/d...pg.AndorsTrail I've also heard good things about this other one so I may try it when I'm looking for more of the same: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...u.pixeldungeon
