![]() Use a smoke grenade at the base of the ramp the first turn and don't move out. Not only does this give you cover, it also allows the aliens to move during their turn so they aren't all at max TUs to mow you down with reaction fire. As for weapons; HE rounds and laser rifles are your best bet for anything up to Snakemen.

Anyway, if anyone else would follow your advice on using smoke grenades, don't leave your soldiers in the smoke for too long, you'll see their health decreasing soon enough... I always prefered those HE grenades (the red and white ones, however they were called) to anything smoky, but then again I have no experience with superhuman level |
