in level 4, theres this purple carpet on the ground, when im on it and i press "down" it flies me out of the roof, THEN THE GAME CRASHES.... why? im running it on newest DosBox, configured well....

it is not flying you out it smash you right into the bars that are in the ceiling hole, it happen to me as well, probably you first need to open the roof.... [/b][/quote]
I've been trying to open that roof, no success so far....

I head to the right, till the end, then up a bit, and I run into a skellie on a bridge.

Now, I cannot kill him, and after a bit of a fight the bridge opens and we both fall down.
I get nowhere if I evade him and run on, cause he closes the wall that I need to get through when I do that.

What do I do?

You must fight skeleton and switch sides with him (you must be left). Don't go far left, because the ugly skeleton will shut the door. When the bridge opens press left and shift.

Yeah man, thanks, I did it!

I've been trying to outmaneuver the skellie to the bridge for him to be there when it opens, but it wouldn't, and when we'd fight we'd both fall down... I didn't believe I could be where the bridge opens AND turn and catch for the edge when it does!

Now I finished that level when you just end it right away, just go further, and am at the one where you meet heads.... Those flying heads are a major pain.

I was wondering about the year of this game. On the review page it says it's from 1993, but I remember getting my first computer back in 1992 and it already had PoP 2 on it (I bought the comp used) Do I just remember this all wrong??

Please, help me.

Many years have passed since I saw “Prince of Persia 2” for the first time, but I haven’t finished it up to now. I reach to the level with such situation. On one side there is a giant injured spider with unlimited number of fighters on it. On the other side there are four princes or images of the prince standing on crystal stones. Trust me, I have tried a lot of things and now I don’t know what to do.

Okay guys. This is one of my favorite games of all times. Is is extremely cool and fun to play once you get used to the controls. The hardest part will be the jumps that you will have to make. When you will get to the final level of the palace in ruins you will understand what I meant.
I found that the game locks up when I tried to play with sound on VDM. In dosbox works well. But when I get to the bird men, there is a strange bug that respawns them after you kill them, exit the room and then reenter it again. I don't know if it is DosBox or my version of POP2 (wich isn't downloaded from this site).
Also, when you die, reload a saved game instead of "pressing any key" as you would not be able to finish the game due to the lack of time.
Get all the super potions wich gives extra life because you will also need them to finish the game. If you are having troubles, I strongly suggest that you read a FAQ.
Notice that in any level there are 2 save points (at the begining and at the middle of the level).
Have fun playing it and please excuse my grammar.
I will like to add that CTRL+O opens the options menu.

Martin1- In the spider room you will have to fight those guards to try and obtain a super potion (if you don't have at least 11 lives). They will randomly drop one. In the cristal room you will have to kill every false image of Jaffar BUT DON'T turn your back to any of them because they will kill you. In the final room you will have to get your shadow out by pressing left-right-left-right-left-right-left-right... notice that you will lose one life until your shadow is out. Then you will have to throw a flame at Jaffar to kill him (The Shadow & The Flame, get it?)

I've passed all levels on the original game, and finally got my hands on the second part :Brain: I noticed there are a lot more enemies, and one frustrating thing - it takes muuuuuch longer for him to jump after I press the button then on original game. I fell into the hole like zillion times! :ranting:
