Ok then, so what about swearing on the forum? I've noticed many a times (no names mentioned) where board members begin swearing at eachother in a discussion beause they become frusterated and say things like "you're so f***in stupid if you believe that!" or something to that effect. When insults are slung (remember Canalis Analis?) back and forth, it does no good. I, personally, think swearing should not be allowed on the forum, but then again I realize this would be hard to reinforce because I've noticed several mods and admins dropping them now and then when they get really pissed off.

I find that people wh oswear lots cannot express strong emotions whe nthey really need to. If you swear at everything tha thappens what do you do when something really big happens? I have friends wh oswear all the time and no one pays them any attention when they swear, I don't swear much but when I do everyone takes notice because they are not used to hearing me swear.

Swearing is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I don't mind it in songs if it has a purpose like in Rage Against the Machine the whole ending "**** you i won't do what ya tell me" thing is there to show his anger but stuff like Eamon's I don't want you back, what was that about? It's some guy swearing 37 times in 3 minutes about wait for it...his girlfriend cheating on him, big deal man. Swearing is fine as long as it isn't just there to pad out a sentence like most of the people at my school do instead of ummm or errr.
I do swear a bit but not in excess I hope. Wit and sarcasm are far better if just for the comedy value.

Well, I've only swore once. That was when I was 4, I heard my grandma say the f word, and not knowing that it was bad or what it meant, I repeated it. And got the crap spanked out of me for it. But since then I've never sworn. So I chose the swearing is stupid option. If you have a problem with that, oh well.

Once, when I was a kid, someone told me I swore too much... So i started replacing "Sh*t" (which I said a lot back then) with "Roast beef!"

I really hate roast beef...

You know, a swear word is only a swear word if you are using it, and in your mind, you mean to use it with that particular meaning. Most words aren't really bad, its how they r used that makes them bad.

Swearing is just a way of expressing yourself, it can be rude in certain situations and in others its not. I just hate it when people say "Oh deary look at him, hes swearing didnt his momma ever tell him its not polite to swear" #¤"%! you im just expressing myself! It doesn't mean anything if people swear.
