OK - I'll bite...

Evolution is not a fact, but there is proof for the theory, which almost makes it a scientifical law. But to answer your question (better yet - a list of questions), I'll use a counter-question.

Is it a fact, that you wake up, eat, drink, go to the toilet, do stuff, go back to sleep and breathe all the time?

I guess that's a fact - unless I'm replying to a ghost.
So if you're alive and do all those thing, explain to me this:
1. At what time did your parents have intercourse in which you were created?
2. How many contractions did your mother have before giving birth to you?
3. What was the name of the janitor, that cleaned the hospital room in which you were born?

And so on... The questions could go on forever.
The point is, that you don't need all the answers about one thig to know that some facts are real.

Sly, I do not know the answers to many of those questions. Nobody knows the answers to many of them. Also, I believe you have mixed the Evolution I am talking about with other phenomena. I am speaking of when one species of animal has offspring where a genetic mutation has occurred. Your definition of mutation is skewed. A mutation is not a re-combining of DNA. It is what happens when part of the DNA is left out or changed during heredity. Sicle-cell Anemia is a good example. In Africa it was beneficial to have Sicle-cell Anemia because it stops Malaria. So the people with Sicle-Cell Anemia survived, while those without it died.

I could not give less of a crap about the beginning of the universe, because we do not have enough data to make any assumptions about what heppened. You saying "We don't know so it must be God" is very shortsighted. That is what people used to do with Lightning and Thunder and Volcanoes and Mountains. Now you are just doing the exact same thing. I do not pretend to know everthing about anything, and frankly I don't feel like looking it up on google.

Actually, many religious stories do not state where anything came from. The bible, where did god come from and what did he make everything from? (must get boring being eternally alive...) And Islam (Or is it Sikhism?) has the word Ohm being the start of all when there was nothing-ness..

Which god do you actually mean? Catholic? Mohamedan? Someone from Hinduist, Greek, Persian, Babylonian or from some other pantheon?
So which one? Catholic? And why catholic? That you believe in him dont mean that you have automatically truth? What if catholic god is just some conversion of true Hinduist god(well at least one of them... )

There's obviously a great interest in them because everytime a thread like this apeares a discusion gets started and brings new and provocative arguments, questions statemants... That's the best way to keep a sharp mind (to actually use it). And such threads do just that.

OK guys. Good questions for my side. I printed out your questions and will study them and get back to you.

One thing you guys must understand, which was the point I'm trying to make is that each side uses science to "prove" their theories, both creation and evolution. Neither one can ultimately be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Each one has imponderables. Both require faith in the unseen.

Most of the answers I have seen so far say, well if you gave it enough time...

Wait. Stop right there. You are leaving science at that point. You didn't even see what happened in your mind, when you were trying to answer the questions I presented.

It's good to see a bunch of guys that don't mind debating stuff from each view as long as its done maturely and respectfully. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
