The point is, that you don't need all the answers about one thig to know that some facts are real.
A good point, but if someone believe on a god(and Sly probably does) are this facts proof of existence of god and not proof of evolution theory...

to Sly This is a question of opinion. For Sebastianos is proof of evolution simply a fact that I am here and can talk to you.
Myself I am too big skeptic to believe in it.I just say that theory of evolution has (for me) greater sense than some of religious beliefs of creation of world and mankind....

I can understand the need for proof and such, I'm just sick of the scientists who try to bash religion at every opportunity they might do, thinking that everything in this world needs proof, faith is just as important imo, it can really help in times of need.

I respect the people who don't believe in god, that's there decision and there's nothing wrong with that, just as there is extremist scientists, there are extremist religion believers, we just have to learn to live with tolerance more than anything, not bashing of each other side and such.

Well written essay!!

I really enjoyed your essay. As far as the argument goes; however, I agree with not mixing science and religion. This is not to say I believe that one shouldn't question beliefs, but, that in order to exercise faith, you have to take some concessions in your "proof" of certain facts that aren't explainable.
One thing you leave out in your essay is divine intervention. Noah's task (from a christian's point of view) was designated by the Higher power; the Almighty. Who's to say that God (or Satan for that matter) didn't slowly reintroduce disease? Furthermore, maybe he reintroduced certain species that Noah wasn't able to find in the time he was alloted(40 years I believe).
As for proof of the arch, there are some theories that the arch exists in the ice fields of Mount Judi (as it is known to muslim scholars), or Ararat to christians. The mysteries of this region are far from being uncovered.
About the only visible land masses being mountain peaks..I think through out the years of the bible, there have been many interpretations, and viewpoints that have made their way into it. Remember that the only accounts(if you believ the story) come directly from the survivors. This means the perspective of the account is linited, and could be mistaken. I for one believe that the bible should not be taken litteraly.
I don't claim to be an athourity on any of this subject, the only thing I'm bringing to this topic is the fact that no matter how much science you bring towards this topic, you will always come smack down in the face of a powerful virtue most christians name"faith" LOL.
this essay has prompted me to write(its been a long time now....) thanx for the brain starter man

Extreme scientist which wants to "bash" religion are still beginners compared to some of past religious practices of "bash" infindels. I just hope these practices stay forgotten forever.
I admit that religion is great help for people which need this kind of help(some of my relatives included)
Just live and let live. k:

Yeah they're both bad in their own right essentially, and they really don't help their causes at all.

But yeah I agree with ya, Live and Let live k:

Lizard, with religion, I would use the word faith, or belief instead of theory. Although many christians corraborate(back up ideas with proof) ideas with evidence, their main refference is questionable, namely being the bible. Faith is a funny thing, cause the less proof you have the stronger it is.

That's a funny thing to say as your essentially generalizing faith right there, there has to be some sort of proof for a faith to work, usually that's the case how it goes, if you go back through history you can see many cases of how christianity rose and such up to through the time when the bible was written, again it's mostly speculation at this point, but at least it's a general idea.
