Well here where I live, we've essentially got 3 school systems, public, catholic, and private
Public teaches about evolution and such, really don't here anything about religion, many of the points Sly mentioned on Public school, applies here as well. Really have no clue on the Catholic system and the teachings especially in science so I can't really comment, although I imagine religion probably plays a role.
