By JW, do you mean Jews?

I have never studied the Jewish religion. Must be interesting. But I thought the Jews just thought Jesus was some lunatic that proclaimed himself God, wasn't that why they crucified him?

Yobor, read this:

http://home.inu.net/skeptic/flood.html

I like how the guy mentioned it would have to rain 6 inches a minute for 40/days/nights, or the fact about the laws of refraction. Never thought about it from that perspective before.

This following site is interesting as it explains creation from many different religions, countries and scientific theories. It is the most comprehensive site I've seen on the web for various info:

I know a little about Mormons but not much about JWs, would have been interesting to have spoken to some, but I only have "mainstream" christian friends.

well, I'll let you in on what I know about JW's.
First off, they believe that only 140000 people go to heaven, and the rest live for eternity on paradise earth. these 140000 are kind of like helpers, a congress or something like that, i've always thought of them as representitives of the humans in heaven...dunno totally though, I'll ask next time they come to my door
Second, they believe that Jesus is God's son, and not part of the trinity. If you are interested in this, cross examine the king james versus the new world testament, under John 1:1.
Third, they believe that after armageddon, all the sheep will live on paradise earth for 1000 years, during which satan will be locked away. after this 1000 years satan will be unleashed, and during this time he will have a very short time to lure anymore people. then he and all his demons will be destroyed for good. For some reason it sticks out in my head that they believe whole heartedly that people will be lured even after 1000 years of paradise, and this has significance for some reason or another.
third, they don't celebrate christmas because they believe that the star that guided the three wise men to jesus was put there by the devil. The logic behind this is that king Herod commishioned the three wise men to find Jesus so he could kill him. so why would God want these guys to find Jesus?
they view most holidays as pagan, and do not part take in them...this I am totally against.
Forth, they believe that spiritual brothers and sisters are more important than biological ones, for example my sister is disfellowshipped cause she divorced her husband. When my grandfather died, my grandma told my sisters ex, and he told her, besause he is still a JW, and she is scum. This is one of the things i hate the most about JW's.

Did you read some of his books.
He got intersting(althought a little unbelievable) ideas
No I never did. I have a friend who claims to be a muslim (it's his familys religion) but actualy has a broad set of beliefs rooting in christianity, induism, islam (of course) and a broad array of near-religious folk stuff. So we used to have a lot of debates about religion and belief, usualy with me as the atheist/sceptic and him as the believer.
Could you tell me a few good titles of this Deniken guy. I'd really like to read some of his better works (not neceseraly on this topic).

Alright everyone this paper has been turned in by me. Amazingly enough, my teachers loved it. And I am lucky enough not to be dead right now

I guess the CLAN didn't understand what you're trying to say!
Congratulations on your paper - stay healthy, and alive... although on the other hand - I haven't been to a real witch (warlock) burning yet - so call me when you're about to get flaming hot
Been nice knowing you LOL

Gee, thanks for the moral support

Well, actually, sadly, I am friends with some Klan members. Sadly. It disgraces my existence, actually.
