Sega made a lot of blunders back then with the sega cd, could've been a contender, but they really seemed to focus on making FMV videos, rather than good gameplay for some of the games. They were supporting I think 3 platforms at the time, with the genesis, the sega cd, and the gamegear.

Yeah I remember Sewer Shark, wasn't really interested in the style of gameplay and such, but glad to hear that you found some of those oldie games.
