Fresh from finishing Anvil of Dawn, I finally found the time and started playing this game yesterday. I tried to play it in my Win2K machine, and the game crashed in the beginning. So I am playing it on another machine, this time with WinXP. I have not progress far, currently I am in that cave where I have just obtained a spell (or whatever it is actually) that enables me to change Kain's form into a wolf.

My first complaint is the lack of save at anytime feature. I am sure this has been mentioned in this thread, and forgive me if I mention this again since I do not have the time to read all 10 over pages. I feel that save points in the game are too few. I really hate it when I have to backtrack just to find a save point. It does IMHO ruin this otherwise good game.

I will not stop, however, and will continue to play this game until I complete it, or until it crashes (since so many people mentioned in this thread that their game crashed)

Hello all.

I've been trying to get my hands on both blood omen & soul reaver since... last summer

I have Blood Omen 2 (which was a bit to linear and the story was all screwed)
, Soul Reaver 2, and Defiance (I'll miss you raziel )

I've downloaded this, used the crack and everything, no worky

redownloaded, tried again, no worky

I'm going to try redownloading once more... if that dosn't work I dunno...

I'm on Windows ME... (stop laughing damnit!)



Also, I heard that all the cinematics are gone in this, is there any way to get the actual cinematic without using a PS emulator?

Alright I got it to work, apparently the problem was because I click & drag, I don't extract :P


But its really confusing without any of the cinematics, guess I could look for a script at dark-chronicle though

Okay, time to write about my second complaint of the game, which is the lack of subtitles. I know that may not be a problem to most of you, but for a non-English speaking gamer like me it can be a challenge, and although Kain does speak rather clearly still it would be much nicer to add subtitles in case I want to turn off the sound for example.

bah I'm stuck trying to get a blood fountain in the ruined city before I go to dark eden...

one thing hard about the game is that you have to go out of your way to find spells and stuff

in Vorador's Mansion you need mind control but you have to be curious patient and umm... an explorer to find the Mind Control spell

2 words: Great Game. tis a shame the movies are gone. Anyways i need help in the Nemesis's fortress. I am stuck in a giant room with 4 buttons. I pressed all the buttons but the door didnt open. Is there sum type of combination? If so pls tell me cus it takes me a long time to walk to each button and im getting slaughtered by the ghosts of the guys i killed. :help: :help:

if you in the room I think your in, with a bunch of axe thingies swinging out of the wall, then 'unclick' the button just left of the door and it should open

Well, i have the original, it wont load from it for some screwed up reason (had it yrs ago, and never played it).
I downloaded your version, and applied the crack.
when i run the exe, i get a black screen, and i can hear what appears to be liquid sloshin, reminds me of a shoreline or something.
But nothing else, i hit windows key, nada, goes desktop and won't come back.

Using XP
I do hear and have an error window pop up while trying it and this is the message.

Click on OK to terminate the application "

Any ideas?
