Um, it's never going to be made on the PC, and it has far from the best graphics in the world, but they are very nice

Never tried Monkey Island but willing to.
Pirates! Doom Bard's Tale Man this is too tough! I had to leave out GNBNA and Steel Panthers! Make it six or seven next time.

For overall play value, I cannot believe how good Master of Orion is. It was still listed in the top 50 games as late as 2000. I can play it again and again.
Any other game is a distant second place. Minesweeper. Even though I can solve the expert level in as little as 110 seconds and seldom take more than 150 seconds to either solve it or step on it, I can still play for hours. X-Com, Enemy Unknown. I enjoy playing it, and will devote a couple of hours a day for several weeks at a time, when the urge to play strikes me, but I can go several months at a stretch without playing it, at all. |

1. Might and Magic III 2. Pool of Radience (not the new crap, the old GoldenBox one) 3. Eye of the Beholder and then we have the Rest of the Might and Magic series, all SSI's roleplaying games, Bard's Tale series, Arena+Daggerfall+Morrowind+Oblivion+Redguard, and the Ultima series on the second list, as the most wellplayed games by me :P |
