![]() hi guys got a copy of vmware workstation for my pc but a can't decide what os to use with it to play dos games should i use
A. Windows95c B.Windows95A C. Windows98se also how much ram and hdd space sgould i allocate for it thanks |

![]() Yep. 98SE is the best choice. Stable and efficient. I'd suggest giving it 96MB or 128MB. The max that 98 can use is 256, but for running DOS games that's way too much.

![]() I am pretty sure that 98se can handle 512 just fine...
128 will work, I would put 256 or 512 for new games. Hard drive, eh, 20GB? Depends on what you want to do with it. |

This was the case with regular Win98, but was fixed with Win98SE if I remember correctly. (same as couple other 'limit in the size' things) Win98SE is a good choice, as its DOS mode is good enough to run any DOS game. There should be a tread around in which I explained how to properly set it up to run DOS games somewhere in this sub-forum. |
